About the Court

The Meigs County Common Pleas Court is the trial court of general jurisdiction for Meigs County, Ohio. The Court hears felony criminal cases, civil disputes over $15,000, and all family-law matters through its Domestic Relations Division.

What this Court does

As a court of general jurisdiction under Ohio law, this Court is the trial venue for serious matters arising in Meigs County. The General Division hears felony criminal cases and civil disputes exceeding $15,000. The Domestic Relations Division has jurisdiction over divorce, dissolution, the allocation of parental rights and responsibilities, support, and civil protection orders.

Presiding Judge Linda R. Warner serves the citizens of Meigs County with a commitment to fair and impartial justice across both divisions.
